VioletSpring UV Series offers ultra violet systems and kits that you can attach to existing filtration systems. Ultra violet offers several benefits. Ultra violet can be used as a pretreatment of water or post-polishing application to sterilize and disinfect water. This is a non-chemical application for killing microorganisms. Ultra Violet Filtration is an efficient way of disinfecting a water supply is by irradiating it with UV light. UV light containing wavelengths between 250 and 270 nanometers (UV-C or UVC band), and it is extremely effective in killing many species of bacteria, mold spores, viruses and other microorganisms. These organism may be present in your water source. The UV adapter for water purification systems relies on the movement of water through and enclosed vessel that contains a UV lamp. The UV vessel contains a lamp that is positioned directly in the center of the vessel. This ensures maximum exposure to water as it passes though the vessel. This process allows the most exposure to the UV radiation as it passes across the lamp body.
